“It seems as if we are all appetite, as if a human being is simply a bundle of needs to drain the world. It’s no wonder there are wars….”(135)
This quote is stating that we as human beings are never content with what we have in life that we are always wanting more and more. I also feel like that she is saying that we are killing the world trying to get all the good from it, she does not say its just one type of persons it is all of us as humans. When she says, “ It’s no wonder there are wars…” I feel that she is saying that the only reason we go to wars is to try and be better than everyone else or that we are trying to take what the other country has to offer, I agree with this quote on everything except for the ending about why there is wars, I feel greed has something to do with most but there are those exceptions where wars is necessary in order to better the lives of the people living in those countries.
The ending was not what I expected because I thought that they were going to leave the forest completely and start a different life in the city with more people, but I believe it is the right ending because they have already proven that they can survive on their own.
yes we are destroying the owrld as we know it by being greedy and selfish and always wanting MORE! it is terrible to see this happening right before our eyes and doing nothing about it; which is being just as bad as the people who are causing all the turmoil.
